The Hot Topic

Immigration is the hot topic. Ok, it's not just hot, it's boiling over! I've listened to both sides of the debate from all angles. Great points are made by both the for and against. This is not your typical Republican vs Democrat fight. Members in Congress, the Senate and the general population are split on this issue, which makes this debate extremely enjoyable to watch.

As for me, I have yet to pic a side. I'm sure you've heard the saying, "If both sides are unhappy about a bill, it's probably a fair compromise". I agree with that saying more times than not, but the problem with it is that it doesn't account for a bill just being simply bad.

I guess one of the biggest issues I have is that I don't trust that any of it will be enforced. To me, it just seem that politicians pass new legislation to fix a problem, when most of the time the problem arose because the previous laws weren't enforced. Why will this one be any different?

Lost

Ok here is my take on the show "Lost". I can't say that I've watched every episode from the beginning but I watch enough to keep up with the story line. My theory is this, the title of the show is not a description about the people on the island but rather a state that the show will keep the viewers in. Once you understand this you can sit back and just enjoy the show.

Irresponsible

I was watching CNN News last night and they continually amaze me. Yesterday our law enforcement agencies captured a group a men planning to attack one of our military bases here on American soil. Not only didn't CNN lead with this story, it wasn't even in the first three. But that's not the worst. When they did cover the story, they questioned how big of a threat this was. They could have focused on how well our agencies worked together gathering information, building a case and stopping the attack. Instead they chose to inject there political view into the story by suggestioning that this wasn't important, ingoring the fact that there are people who want to kill us because we are not like them. You can keep ignoring these stories but eventually they'll get around to targeting the CNN Center. How will you feel when they blow up all your footage of the Anna Nicole story?
